The Honey Hut

Sylvan Lake is a town in central Alberta, Canada. It is located 25 kilometres west of the city of Red Deer and is situated on the southeast edge of Sylvan Lake, a 15 kilometres long freshwater lake. The lake is a popular destination for tourists, with over 1.5 million visitors each year. Various tourist activities include sunbathing, swimming, water-skiing, and visiting the local Wild Rapids Waterslides.

There are many festivals and activities on in Sylvan Lake, guaranteed to keep visitors busy and entertained. Amongst these are June's 1913 Days, which celebrates the town's incorporation with a family-friendly parade and fireworks; Canada Day events in the provincial park; summer's Trauma Tour bands and wakeboarding, and August's Jazz Festival. There is a February double-header with the Family Day Winterfest, complete with polar dip and fireworks, and the Spitz Marathon Speedskate, which welcomes international visitors to a festive winter atmosphere.

The Honey Hut is a generously spaced 1800 square foot cottage that features four bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom in the Master bedroom. The property sleeps up to eight people easily and includes an extra bathroom. Honey Hut has a charming lounge with beautiful stone fireplace, ideal for relaxing in after a day out seeing the sights. There is a cosy dining area and a huge kitchen fully equipped to make many sumptuous meals.

The Honey Hut has all the amenities to make this your home away from home; these include TV, DVD player, VCR machine, microwave, a washer and tumble dryer, and a stereo. All rooms have been tastefully decorated and all linens and towels have been supplied.

The Honey Hut’s outside backyard is spacious and has a gas BBQ and fire pit, along with outdoors furniture enabling visitors to enjoy al-fresco dining. The beach is within walking distance of the property and there is a playground for the children in close proximity too.
