Year-round, Sylvan Lake is a break from the daily grind - it is the only place for your next vacation. The town of Sylvan, with its serene blue waters and smooth sandy beaches, rests on the southeast bank of Sylvan Lake in central Alberta, Canada. It is located 18 km west of Red Deer and is halfway between Calgary and Edmonton. Spring, Summer and Fall are all about fishing, hiking, nature study, boating and picnicking. Winter’s blanket of snow provides snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and access to snowmobile trails.
Besides having an amazing outing to the Wild Rapids Waterslide Park or the annual Jazz at the Lake event, guests to Sylvan Lake can also visit Jarvis Bay Provincial Park, which is great for camping or picnicking. The Sylvan Lake Farmer’s Market is open on Fridays between May 2007 and September 2008 and products include, homemade baking and other foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, crafts, entertainment and much more.
The Captain’s Quarters is every bit as commanding as its name. This stunning two-storey property is minutes away from Sylvan Lake ensuring that guests are near to many shops, eateries and other such amenities.
