Near The Millstones B&B you can discover the historic town of Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Shelburne has gorgeous miles of white sand beaches and historic lighthouses, giving it a true coastal town feel. The exquisite Millstones property was constructed in 1853 by John Bower and he recalls often having to spend the evening in the cottage, because the B&B was so full.

The Millstones B&B has three lovely, cozy bedrooms, a luxury suite and several common rooms. Ivy Room overlooks the Roseway River and is a charming room, decorated in traditional Nova Scotia Style with a painted wood floor and matching trim. Rose room has a view of the front garden and features antique furniture, a television and VCR. The Wild Lupin Room is the larger one and offers tranquility being decorated in gorgeous blues and lavenders. It is a very cheerful bedroom and has a television, VCR and lovely wooden flooring. Lastly the Roseway Suite has its own separate lounge and gives you a little more privacy with its separate entrance.
Every morning at Millstones B&B you can enjoy a fabulously prepared breakfast in the Sunroom which overlooks the Roseway River. Your hosts believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and therefore strive to serve the best hearty meal ever. The meal includes a selection of eggs, blueberry pancakes, French toast, scrumptious waffles served with fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, toast, fruit juices and ending with freshly ground coffee and tea.
This magnificent area offers many great activities, starting with a classic game of golf just 15 minutes from the B&B, watching the sunset at the Lighthouse, enjoy great fishing, canoeing to your hearts content, walking on the beach at all hours, hiking in the forest and ending with the perfect picnic areas.
