The superb Ride the Wind Ranch is located in the gorgeous Rocky Mountain House region, with its stunning scenic views and beautiful horses and cattle. The Ranch is a fantastic place to visit, and is just a mere two hours drive from Banff and Jasper National Park.

The cabins offer great accommodation and can accommodate up to ten guest in the four rooms, there is the Moose, the Bear, the Eagle and the Wolf cabins. The cabins are all have the same layout, offer the same amenities and are located next to the ranch house. They are equipped with a queen sized bed, one twin sized bed, table and chairs, a small fridge, coffee/tea making facilities, and an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub. The furniture is made up of pine and gives you that really ranch feeling.
The ranch serves scrumptious full breakfasts at the ranch house daily, where you sit with the host, their family and other guests at a long pine table, and enjoy the tasty homemade hot dishes such as Old Style Cowboy Pancakes, Sweet Buns, Egg Souffle and many more dishes. Lunch time there is a lunch bag packed in a handy soft cooler which you take to your cabin around noon, or you can enjoy the great sandwiches, chips or crackers, fruit or vegetables, cookies and water or ice tea at the nearby lake. Dinner time is fantastic, where Kathy serves wonderful hearty yet light and healthy meals such as Texas Longhorn breed and for desert there are light home baked goodies with coffee or tea. If you have any specific diet, allergies, or if you are a vegetarian then Kathy will assist you with that.
There are fantastic outrides to enjoy for guests aged 10/12 up to 65 years of age. The forested public land offers great rides as well as the trails in the bush with its narrow game trails. Another fun thing to do is to ride the quiet, registered Texas Longhorn cattle, where you ride along with the herd or every couple of weeks participate in actually moving the cattle to another pasture. This is definitely something you should look at doing, as it is great fun and will give you that great feel of being out in the wild. There are also great canoe trips on the tranquil Crimson Lake, the Twin Lakes or on the scenic Clearwater River. The river canoeing however is only available during the weekly stays.
