One of these facilities include the Kicking Horse Mountain Ski Resort which has been rated the number 1 ski resort for powder by top-rating Skiing Magazine; the resort offers the likes of heli-skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, and ice climbing. Another terrific venue to visit is the incredible Kicking Horse Grizzly Bear Refuge – part of the mountain and ski resort – which seeks to educate and protect the great grizzly bear in a closed, protected 22-acre sanctuary. Travellers lucky to visit the Kicking Horse Pass during the summer months can look forward to enjoying mountain biking and hiking as there are a number of terrific spots to explore.
