The Lobstick Lodge is nestled below the pine forests of the Pyramid Bench, one block from Connaught Drive. Its name is derived from trees, which had all but the top few branches cut off, called lobsticks, used as trail markers and rendezvous points by the early voyagers nearly two hundred years ago. The hotel is four miles from Pyramid Lakes and Jasper Tramway, six miles from Jasper Park Golf Course, and is situated closely to many Jasper shops and other such amenities.

There are Standard Rooms, which feature 2 queen beds, electric fan, full private bathroom, amenities kit, complimentary in-room coffee and tea, direct dial telephone, cable television, mini fridge, iron/ironing board, hairdryer and voicemail. Deluxe Rooms have the same amenities as the Standard Room with 2 king beds. Mini suites comprise a separate bedroom with 2 double beds, sofa bed, full service kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave oven, toaster, pots and pans, eating utensils for 6 guests, oak kitchen cabinets, and 2 cable televisions.
